The Cleveland Foundation awarded the Foundation for Geauga Parks a $20,000 grant for website development that will increase accessibility to nature and environmental education, ensuring that everyone in Northeast Ohio has equal access to the restorative power of nature.
We have completed phase 1 of the website renovation. You can check out our new website today with new features like a list of ALL parks in Geauga County (including city and township parks) that allows users to search parks by attribute (accessibility, activity, facilities) and displays photos, links, descriptions and trail maps for each park.
The new Foundation website will be ADA-compliant and easier to navigate for users who rely on assistive technologies, mobile devices, or require translated content, and removes barriers for community members who want to explore outdoor programs, volunteer, donate, or participate in nature-based learning experiences.
