Geauga Skywatchers & Telescopes

The Foundation for Geauga Parks funded the Geauga Skywatchers, a collaboration of organizations that provided tools and training to aid people of all ages in the practice of astronomy, and telescopes available for check out at libraries.

The Foundation for Geauga Parks helped fund the Geauga Skywatchers Club that that provided tools and training to aid people of all ages in the practice of astronomy.  The club hosted monthly meetings at libraries and Geauga parks. Many local experts brought their sophisticated equipment to help teach the wonders of the universe while honing skills in mathematics, engineering, optics, observation, reason and critical thinking. In partnership with the Chagrin Valley Astronomical Society and the Geauga Park District, the Club offered free monthly classes for students in grades 6-12, but open to all.
