William D. Ginn
This scholarship honors Bill Ginn’s extraordinary commitment to conservation, civic service, and the protection of the natural world. As one of the founders who helped incorporate the Foundation, he gave early structure and purpose to an organization dedicated to parks, conservation, education, and Geauga County’s natural spaces—leaving a legacy of generosity, stewardship, and lasting community impact. Bill was instrumental in the acquisition and development of the land now known as The West Woods among many other accomplishments. William D. Ginn’s life reminds us that conservation is both an act of vision and an act of generosity: a decision to preserve what is precious, to serve something larger than oneself, and to leave the world richer, greener, and more hopeful than we found it.
