Summer Camp

The Foundation for Geauga Parks helps fund Geauga Park District summer camps for children and youth through the Chip Henry Institute for Outdoor Adventure.

The Chip Henry Institute for Outdoor Adventure was established by the Geauga Park District Foundation to honor Charles “Chip” Henry, Geauga County Probate and Juvenile Court Judge. Dedicated to making a lasting difference in the lives of young people, Judge Henry believed that outdoor adventure is essential to healthy development. The Institute continues his vision by providing youth with outdoor experiences and skills that inspire a lifelong connection to nature.

Each year, the Geauga Park District offers a variety of summer camps for children and youth that offer outdoor adventures like kayaking, hiking, geocaching, building and launching model rockets, fishing, biking and exploring stream life. Attendees spend their days in Geauga County parks learning new skills, enjoying the great outdoors and engaging with nature alongside GPD naturalists.
