Fund Management
The Foundation for Geauga Parks can help organizations raise funds for nature-related projects by creating and managing funds designed to accept donations for your specific project. We manage the Dan Best Nature Awareness Fund, which raises money for Thompson Ledge Park, and the Ohio Horseman's Council (Geauga Chapter) Bridle Trail Fund, which raises funds for equine trails and spaces in our parks.

The picture above was a celebration of the opening of the new Tulip Trail at The West Woods. The Foundation manages a Bridle Trail fund for the Geauga Chapter of the Ohio Horseman's Council. Funds raised were used to build the Tulip Trail - an equestrian and multi-purpose trail at The West Woods.
We also partnered with the Thompson Ledges Park Commission to manage the Dan Best Nature Awareness Fund, which raises money for Thompson Ledges Park. Contact us for a consultation on developing a fund.
What is the impact of fund management through the Foundation?
The Foundation enables organizations to accept funds for their nature-related projects. This is especially helpful to newer or smaller organizations or groups without dedicated staff or resources to do the work themselves. The Foundation helps increase the number of nature-related projects from which our community can benefit by helping others.
