The Foundation for Geauga Parks (FGP) received a $5000 grant for nature education from the Lubrizol Grant Program.
Lubrizol has a long history of philanthropic service. Established in 1952, The Lubrizol Grant Program, run through The Lubrizol Foundation, supports local nonprofits aligned with education, health, and sustainable communities, focusing on areas near their facilities in Ohio. Grant allocation targets quality education, healthy lives (reducing hunger), sustainable communities, and civic, cultural, youth, and environmental causes.
The $5000 grant will be used for nature education programs like Nature Scopes - a unique binocular-focused program for Geauga County fifth graders that provides hands-on, standards-based supplemental science education.
