TRANSPORTATION GRANTS
The Transportation Grant initiative was developed to help all Geauga County schools connect students with outdoor education and engage with our parks and trails. Research shows that close encounters with nature create a direct, personal involvement with the outdoors that cannot be matched by classroom discussion or photos in textbooks. Donations to the Foundation for Geauga Parks support the cost to schools for transportation to and from naturalist-led programs.
Our Transportation Grants have helped local schools fund bus transportation to Geauga County parks for 10,500+ students since 2009!

SMALL GRANTS
The Foundation for Geauga Parks sets aside $5000 per year to be used toward the Small Grants Program. Geauga County townships, county or municipal parks, organizations and individuals may apply for a grant in the range of $200 - $5000 for projects, programs, and services that align with the Foundation's mission to fund community engagement with nature. Recent examples are grants for trail markers for the Maple Highlands Trail and for installing a pollinator garden at Hambden Township Park.

FUND MANAGEMENT
The Foundation for Geauga Parks can help organizations raise funds for nature-related projects by creating and managing funds designed to accept donations for your specific project. We manage the Dan Best Nature Awareness Fund, which raises money for Thompson Ledge Park, and the Ohio Horseman's Council (Geauga Chapter) Bridle Trail Fund, which raises funds for equine trails and spaces in our parks.
