Transportation Grants

The Foundation for Geauga Parks helps Geauga County students connect with outdoor education by providing grants to schools for bus transportation to and from naturalist-led programs at Geauga County parks.

The Foundation for Geauga Parks is focused on helping Geauga County schools connect students with hands-on nature education. Research consistently shows that close experiences with nature foster deeper, more personal learning that cannot be replicated through classroom discussions or textbook images.

What is the impact of Transportation Grants?
By helping schools fund transportation to the parks, we enable schools to bring their students hands-on learning opportunities that enhance the science curriculum in a way books and classroom discussion cannot. Students learn about our local parks and naturalists and discover the wildlife, insects, plants and sights right in their own back yard. Our goal is to support the next generation of environmental stewards and promote a love of nature.
