The Dan Best Nature Awareness Fund will support the long-term care of Thompson Ledges Township Park, including its natural areas, infrastructure, and the Frances Spatz Leighton Nature and Learning Center. Managed by the Foundation for Geauga Parks, the endowment will fund ecological restoration, educational displays, and park maintenance—ensuring a lasting impact for future generations. Established in partnership with the Foundation in 2023, the fund honors Dan Best, a beloved Naturalist who developed the park's interpretive master plan and shaped the park’s educational mission.
