About 17 acres around the Chardon sledding chalet was developed into the Chardon Living Memorial Park in remembrance of the victims of the Feb. 27, 2012 shooting at Chardon High School. The park features a memorial statue, playground, outdoor physical fitness course with equipment, and a nature trial located on property adjacent to the chalet at the north end of Basquin Drive. The Foundation funded supplies used to improve the walking trail by adding compacted aggregate.
