Blue Heron Preserve was developed as part of the reclamation process that occurs after a quarry operation is complete. The Burton Township park is managed by the West Creek Conservancy and includes trails, ponds, wildlife, event space and scenic overlooks. The Foundation for Geauga Parks provided funding to refine and improve a 1-mile trail loop.
