Join wildlife photographer and naturalist Aimee Pierson for a fresh look at the backyard animals we often misjudge. From birds to rodents and marsupials to reptiles, this engaging program explores the truth behind common misconceptions and reveals the important roles these creatures play in healthy ecosystems—and in our everyday lives.

About the Presenter: A longtime Geauga County resident, Aimee Pierson spent 20 years as a Photography Producer for Progressive Insurance before pursuing photography full time. A self-taught photographer, she has earned numerous honors, including the 2025 Rocky Mountain National Photographer of the Year Award. Aimee owns Little Whimsies, featuring nature photography and handcrafted jewelry, and is an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist and volunteer site photographer for West Creek Conservancy.



Ticket price for the Nature Education series is $12 - proceeds benefit conservation, park enhancement, and nature education in Geauga County through the Foundation for Geauga Parks.
