Chasing the Flight

Discover the beauty and diversity of birds through the lens of local nature photographer and naturalist Aimee Pierson. From remarkable species around the globe to unique birds found right here in Ohio, this program explores avian habits, habitats, and helpful tips for spotting some of nature’s most fascinating feathered residents.

About the Presenter: A longtime Geauga County resident, Aimee Pierson spent 20 years as a Photography Producer for Progressive Insurance before pursuing photography full time. A self-taught photographer, she has earned numerous honors, including the 2025 Rocky Mountain National Photographer of the Year Award. Aimee owns Little Whimsies, featuring nature photography and handcrafted jewelry, and is an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist and volunteer site photographer for West Creek Conservancy.

Ticket price for the Nature Education series is $12 - proceeds benefit conservation, park enhancement, and nature education in Geauga County through the Foundation for Geauga Parks.
