Stay Connected with Nature while Social Distancing
The Foundation is committed to protecting parks and trails in Geauga County, and to the people who enjoy them. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Foundation will require face coverings and practice social distancing measures during Explorers Series programs.
There are no restrictions on each of us exploring parks and trails on our own. Stay connected with the outdoors on the many trails in county, township, local and state parks in Geauga County.
The Foundation for Geauga Parks Explorers Series was established so park lovers may join us each month to explore a different park in Geauga County by boot, bike, paddle, or skis. Each experience provides a fun way to get outdoors, meet new people, and learn more about the natural, historic, and cultural beauty of our county.
The activities are physically easy and typically take about an hour to an hour and a half. Many are led by a park naturalist or other knowledgeable individuals who share their insights about the natural and historic aspects of the park.
Outings start at 10:30am, typically at the park's main parking lot. Any and all are encouraged to attend, including well-behaved four-legged friends (on leash.) Activities take place rain, snow, or shine. At times, limited registration may be required. During the COVID health crisis, we are keeping it simple - wearing face coverings, respecting social distances, and dividing into smaller "pods" during hikes.
Never Miss a Meet Up! Sign up for our mailing list below to get updates and notifications about our upcoming explorations, and follwo us on social media.
