About the event

What happens when the lives of people and wild animals intersect? Join the Foundation for Geauga Parks and the James H. Barrow Biological Field Station (JHBBFS) for an engaging exploration of native wildlife, rehabilitation, conservation and coexistence.

Using several of the Field Station’s animal ambassadors as examples, many of whom came to JHBBFS through its wildlife rehabilitation program, the presentation will examine the impact human activities can have on individual animals and native wildlife populations, along with practical conservation measures that can help reduce that impact.

Participants will learn about ways to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts, actions people can take to support wildlife populations, and what to do when encountering an injured or orphaned wild animal. Along the way, JHHB will introduce some of the specialized adaptations and behaviors that help wild animals survive in their natural environments. The presentation will be followed by time for questions and conversation.

We are grateful to ✨Richard and Christie Frenchie✨, our Membership Program presenting sponsors, and their generous nature-related philanthropy in Geauga County!
